Since the founding of the Republic of Texas in 1836, Masons have been supporting public education. Each year, Texas Masons award over $3 Million in scholarships to Texas students. The Midlothian Masonic Scholarship Foundation was incorporated in 2007 as an entity developed solely for the purpose of soliciting donations and providing college scholarships for Midlothian Independent School District seniors.
